FaceEater is a dark humor game and not gory at all. It has retro-style art with zombies and other monsters and makes fun of human activity and social elements that are easy and/or obvious targets.

I haven't played Face Eater but just a look at the name and graphics I can see where anyone can get the gore impression from it. Pretty cool that you came up with all of it on your own.
