Change One Thing About Your Mormon Ward / Branch?

The interesting thing about the Church is the perfection within the 'setup' but not in the 'carrying out' or 'action' of the members. If members truly did what they were supposed to do within their assigned calling or assignment then there would be such an environment created that would be equal to City of Enoch.

Anyways, the purpose of this thread... if there was ONE thing in particular you could change about the way the people in your Branch or Ward does things, what would it be?

I would change the size of it.  It is too small.  If I could change two things, I would put more young a few more young married couples in there.

I would change the gossiping and backbiting sad.gif, more Church standard dressing maybe and more love and unity.

If I could change one thing it would be this: Member's excitement to discuss the doctrine. I often find that everyone is satisfied rediscovering the Book of Mormon for the first time.

I love the people in my ward, and wouldn't change most of them or the way they act. Mostly, they are loving and kind to each other. If I could change something, it would be to simplify. There are very few active members in my area so, other than auxiliary heads, every person has three or four callings. I think this makes a person too busy in church service. Also, fewer meetings. This is the third week in a row I have spent three or four days of the week at a church meeting or a YW activity. I'm not even the YW President, just a counselor.

You are either blessed or not busy enough to get them mad at you. wink.gif The first I am more likely to believe and the latter can serve as humor given your personality online.

I do agree with the time constraints and if I may dare to say that sometimes meetings become so much that we often forget the spiritual side of things like helping people, that is something I would also like to see change in my Branch - focus on the people and not on the meeting.

Two things I would change: Heartier singing of hymns, and better involvement in activities for all groups, from Primary to the Single Adults. Actually, that last one is a stake-wide, maybe regional problem of apathy. Folks just don't show up for things.

I will like to see more togetherness beyond just the walls of church. We are well on Sundays but I will like to see that joy during the week too.
