Q. How do I get to the forum arcade?
A. Use the site map, forum menu or click here

Q. What is the purpose of the arcade?
A. Members have a place to come and relax and compete against one another.

Q. I selected a game to play but when the page loads I get a blank white space or a message saying I need a plugin, what is a plugin?
A. Okay, let's deal with the requirements to play first. Your browser will need something called a 'plugin' in order to play. A plugin is a program that works in conjunction with your browser to output a movie, sound, animation, etc. To get the plugin should be automatic from your browser if it detects that you do not have the necessary plugin to view the game. If not then go to macromedia.com and download the latest shockwave plugin from the downloads section.

Now, if you know you have the plugin in but still get a blank screen then it means you need to do a total refresh of the page. You do this by holding down [CTRL] and clicking 'Refresh' at the same time on your browser (Internat Explorer) and for Netscape users you would do the same thing except you would hold down [SHIFT]

Q. I tried to play a game but it said I did not have enough FP, what is that?
A. FP means forum points, you get them every time you post a constructive message. You need 'x' FP to play a game in the arcade, this ensures members do not joint just to play games and use up bandwidth.

Q. What are those stars under the game description?
A. They represent how eac player rated the game. 5 stars would be excellent and 1 would be poor.

Q. Can I win anything playing the Arcade?
A. Yes, you can become the champion of that game if you get the highest score and an icon will show in your profile and posts. In some cases you can also earn FP, but you will have to look at the forum description to see.

Q. What does 'Time Played' mean?
A. It shows the number of minutes and seconds users have been playing that particular game.

Q. How does the Arcade decide who is the overall champion?
A. It is based on accumulated points, for instance: a first place will earn you 15 points, second 13, and so on... so it is possible that a user can be second place in a lot of forum games and still be Arcade champion.

Q. I played a game but it refused to keep my score!
A. We have found this may happen for several reasons:

1. A break in connection from our server to your ISP or to you.
2. You reload the page the game is on constantly (at least 3 or more times), when a game is finished do not click 'Stop' so it does not refresh, if necessary go to the main arcade and then select the game again.
3. There is a problem with the way your browser handles cookies (this may also be a security problem).
4. Some games are labeled: "SCORE WILL NOT BE SAVED", but you probably missed it in the description of the game.

From experience we have found reasons 1 and 2 to be the biggest reason for your score not to be saved or you get an error message saying your score cannot be added.

Q. But I really had a high score and it is lost!
A. Sorry, that is how life is sometimes - no, there is not a refund on FP.

Q. My FP is disappearing every time I visit the Arcade!
A. If you choose to 'view' a game there is a chance that FP will be deducted from you, so do not view a game unless you really intend on playing it

Q. Certain games ask me for a password, how come?
A. These games are under the Premium section and are meant only for Premium members.

Q. How do I become a Premium member?
A. Make a donation as outlined on the Premium page.

Q. I am a Premium member but my password does not work?
A. Make sure to access the password page or contact admin.

Q. What kind of games are in the Premium section?
A. Similar games to the ones in the General section but different of course.

Q. What are those three avatars at the top of the Arcade page?
A. They are the best of the best. It features the first three Champions and the number of games they have conquered.

Q. I am trying to play games but it tells me I need a password?
A. General games are FREE, if it asks you for a password its because you are trying to play a Premium or Premium Plus game.

Q. I never seem to have enough FP to play, how do I get some?
A. There are three ways:

1. The best method - post constructive messages within the forum
2. Make a contribution. On the Contribution page it shows how much FP you get for your donation.
3. Look out for upcoming contests and / or play the raffle.

Q. Why does it show the General section as having a large amount of games, but in actuallity it does not?
A. The General section shows the total number of all games in the Arcade.

Q. I enjoy the games you have on the board, but how can I get even more games?
A. Get a Premium membership or Premium Plus membership.

Q. Do you run other boards with Arcade games?
A. Yes, we have an Argentine forum with an Arcade.

Q. Do you have a separate section that also keeps track of scores?
A. Yes, in the Premium memberships there is a board card game that keeps score also.

Q. I will post soon, but how can I get some FP right away to play a game?
A. Make a donation - you can buy FP to play right away - please see the Contribute page.

Q. How are games priced?
A. According to the download size. The bigger the download the more expensive to play.

Q. How big are the 'big' games?
A. We have flash downloads up to 10MB just to play one game!

Q. What is the cost in FP for big games?
A. They range from 100FP for 1MB Downloads and more. These games are located in the Upgraded Arcade account section so that Regular Members do not become confused with them.
