He does not have peace, that's his problem. We see it with Britney Spears and so many other celebrities. Diego is a known figure internationally and everybody recognize him whether he is walking or he is at a restaurant making his life a little harder.
He is fine, the doctors agreed he is not an alcoholic but they are trying to stop him from using these substances to the point of abuse. He was sedated and that has a lot to do with the psychological aspect of not having a private life and probably wanted one more than ever.
Dieguito, get well soon! (Que te mejores!)

that he is not a good role model. Yes, he does not have to be anyone's role model, but in the publics eye they always expect you to be a role model for the youths as many think well... "Maradona did it so it is okay". |

Maybe he should look for inner peace by getting away from it all - going to the mountains and another country |

Diego has been offered the job as the national team coach for Argentina. He will be assisted by Dr. Carlos Bilardo (yes, he is a doctor and he was also the national coach that made Argentina world champion and sub-champion back in the 80's and 90's). They still in the negotiation process.

(CNN) -- Diego Maradona has been offered the job of becoming Argentina's new national coach following a meeting with Football Association chiefs in Buenos Aires on Tuesday. Maradona, 48 later this week, will be assisted by Carlos Bilardo who will fill the post of director of football as Argentina bid to clinch qualification for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa. Julio Grondona, head of the Argentine FA, had led the search for a successor to Alfio Basile who quit after a qualifying defeat to Chile that left the nation in third place after 10 matches, seven points adrift of leaders Paraguay. Maradona faced competition for the job from Carlos Bianchi, the former coach of Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo coach Miguel Angel Russo and Sergio Batista who took the Under-23 squad to Olympic gold in Beijing in August. Maradona and Bilardo would not confirm they accepted the positions after leaving the meeting with Grandona. "We have to keep talking," Maradona told reporters."There are some things to resolve. This is just beginning." Bilardo agreed. "Are things getting started? Yes." AFA and Grondona were yet to make official statements following the meeting... |
Well, it is confirmed he was chosen. Interesting enough a popular national newspaper from Argentina made a poll about whether people agree with Maradona being the national coach.
73.8% said NO
26.2 said YES
We LOVE Diego but we know what he can and cannot handle.
