South Korea's new chief envoy to the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear weapons programme agreed Thursday with his Japanese counterpart in Tokyo that they would work closely on the resumption of the stalled talks along with the United States.
Lim Sung Nam, who took the post this month, told reporters after his 90-minute meeting with Shinsuke Sugiyama, a foreign ministry official, that it was time for North Korea to take concrete steps to back up its denuclearization pledges, Kyodo News reported. (monstersandcritics.com)
