Filipinos breathed a huge sigh of relief yesterday as Congress adjourned for their month-long recess without any legislators attempting to force a vote on the controversial Reproductive Health (RH) Bill despite promises from supporters of the bill in the House of the Representatives that it would be passed that day. The nedical situation in the Philippines can simply be divided into two: Paying and non-paying(Charity). So if you have the money, you can afford the best treatments that the country can offer in the private hospitals. If you don't have money, we still have the government hospitals. Lately, funds are being funneled towards the betterment of government hospitals, trying to provide diagnostics as well as treatment procedures that are only found previously in private hospitals. The best hospital for me is the Philippine General Hospital which has the best doctors in the country. They also have one of the best diagnostics equipment but limited. Since it's government funded usually providing free service, the lines are always full as well as their beds.
