Malexander Introduction

I am a 26 year old married male who grew up in Trinidad but now resides in the US. My main reason for joining this forum is to keep in touch with my Trini roots. My mother who is a Trinidad citizen lives in the US as well and I thought this forum would be a good place to keep her informed of what is happening in her beloved country. Thanks!

When last were you in Trinidad? Thanks for posting your introduction message. The next thing you should do now is update your profile. You can do this by clicking the link called, 'My Controls' in the top menu. You will be given a series of fields to fill in or menus to choose from, simply answer the questions, save it and the frog will disappear!

The best way to become integrated into our community is to post messages. Remember, you are one user out of hundreds of members. If anyone is going to 'see' you then they need to read your posts. Posts are messages you leave on the various boards we have here. Select 'Home' or 'Site Map' from the top menu, it will load a page full of different boards. Select a board that is interesting for you and then a message within that board to reply to... share your thoughts and already people will get to know you after your first post. If you are constructive then other members will reply and thus a discussion becomes apparent.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It has been some time since I have been in Trinidad. I left in 1994 after completing CXC exams at Naparima College. I havent been back since. I hope to go back to visit soon. I miss the food the most I am also curious to see how much things have changed since I left, and of course visit Tobago for some beach time. I have been looking for a forum where ex Naparima grads can catch up on old times, or possibly a forum where I can find out how Naps has been doing in sports, etc. Nothing like the rivalry us and Presentation College had Anyway, thanks again for the welcome and I hope to catch up on things through the forum.

I am a US citizen but my mother is a Trinidad citizen so when she had me she moved back to Trinidad to be with family. After CXC's, I moved to Florida and went through the College system there and after graduation moved to Minnesota to work for a large IT company. However since I have lived in Trinidad since I was 4 till the time I took CXC's, it is pretty much my entire childhood that I spent there. We lived in Marabella in a small house which is still there. My memories of growing up were climbing our guava tree and flying kites by the old horse race track. Call me sentimental but I really miss those days

Yes, I can imagine how much you miss your country because I miss a lot mine too. But things have changed a lot here in Trinidad (that's what everybody says). We have a very high crime situation and prices going up as usual.
