Why Do Autistic Children Attack Other Children?

Comments: We went to an activity where there were lots of toys. When my child was playing with a toy by herself an older autistic boy came over and wanted to get the toy she had. My child said "no" and the autistic boy immediately attacked her. I had to separate them and take my child away. The mother of the autistic boy was apologizing a lot but I was wondering if this is normal?
It can be. Each child with autism is different but one of the signs of autism is aggression towards any kind of opposition so it is not surprising he may have acted this way when he could not get what he wanted.
I think they are all different, but I know that my Daughter is very quick to lash out with her hands. It's a case of the thought process not being processed properly, and whilst this may seem to be very personal against another child, in my opinion there's no discrimination involved..the Autistic child can't help it.
Autism and aggression are related so it may be other children or even adults. Sometimes its not even focused just spontaneous that's why you can't leave autistic children alone or wander off and think they will be okay.
