El Cajon woman sends troops 2,000+ care packages
As pledges go, "Support Our Troops" was a little too vague for Rose Perkins. She wanted a particular troop member, a real person with a real name, someone in a war zone she could send stuff to directly. She found a lot of them. And they're grateful. Ref. Source 2

That is such a good idea. I've read about some churches also posting gifts to soldiers for free, you just have to get the gift and they will send it for you so you don't have to pay the postage.
