Why did journalists call the Alaska purchase of 1867 Sewards Folly?
a. Public opinion supported the purchase of Hawaii.
b. It was contrary to the idea of Manifest Destiny.
c. They wondered why the United States would want a vast tundra of snow and ice far from the continental borders.
