Comments: Sorry if this is a stupid question but I know this one guy in our class in Kentucky and he refers to himself as "Trini", is that like a race or something?

"Trini" is short for Trinidadian and is a person from Trinidad and Tobago. Being Trini is not a race it refers to your nationality but most Trinis use it casually in conversation its not an official thing.
