African Americans who joined the Marine Corps during World War II and then learned they would be shipped off to a separate boot camp for blacks and serve in segregated support units commanded by white officers. Ref. Source 1

Marines Black First

Its a shame that we can't see them as just marines but they have to be segregated by their race. We've come a long way from back then but there is still many stereotypes that needs to be weeded out of the forces in my opinion.

Yes we have but do remember it was all we segregated, Chinese and whites for example. Best thing that came from segregation was squadron 626 I think it was.
