I see the reasoning behind dropping the name, but that just doesn't appeal to me. The term bank implies security and a safe place for my money and my business for a plethora of different services. My bank has made sure that we all know what they offer from insurance to home mortgages and money markets. I think that the dropping of bank will have a minimal impact on banking and financial institutions in general.
