A car crashed into a convenience store in Saitama on Thursday evening, injuring a 17-year-old boy.
Police said that the incident happened at around 6 p.m. at a store in Midori Ward. The car came through the front of the store. The boy, who was at the magazine rack, was caught underneath the vehicle, TV Asahi reported. He was taken to hospital where he was in a stable condition on Friday.
The driver of the car, a 62-year-old man, told police that he mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal as he pulled into the car park in front of the store. (Japan Today)
