I've never had a CTR ring. I joined the Church when I was 14 so I wasn't in Primary. I would love to have one. Perhaps I will put that on my Christmas Wish List. My Primary children always were there's at Church. I don't know if their Mothers make them put them up the rest of the week or not.
I do know that nearly all the Grandpa's and Grandma's at my Branch get the grandchildren a good CTR ring or tie tack as a Baptism gift. (hint, hint for all you Mom's, Dad's, Aunt's and Uncle's too)
I wear mine all of the time, not only to remind me of the promise that I have made or will make when I go to the temple, But it is also to let people know to what church I believe in, personally I rarely see any non-members wearing them, so for me it's represents the church when I deal with people on a day to day bases.
I always lose them, because when I type or play the piano, a ring impairs my abilities, and I often forget to put the ring back on.
However, I have an engagement ring (yes, guys can have them, too), just a simple band, but it functions in much the same way for me. I figure that any way that I sin violates not only my covenants with the Lord, but my promises to my intended. If I don't choose the right, I won't be worthy to have her for eternity, and that gives some added motivation to my desire to obey.
I've never had one. I still bear emotional scars from childhood because they introduced the CTR ring the year after I was a CTR so I didn't get one but my younger siblings did. As an adult it seems like a really silly thing, but when you consider the bitter fights that children have over who gets the prize from the cereal box...
