Trinidad Firetruck Fiasco
What are your thoughts about the Trinidad Firetruck Fiasco where it cost the the government TT$6.8 million just to move a crashed firetruck worth TT$2.3 million from a remote area?
I'm not surprised Rasta, it happens all the time. This government is spending lots of money and we don't know where this money is going. I didn't forget yet the whole money spending on plates with fancy engravings for Parliament that cost over 1 million dollars.
The fire chief that signed off on this should be asked about it. If it cost so much to move then they should have just gotten some welders down there to scrap it. They could of bought 3-4 fire trucks with that money!

Comments: This is what happens in countries where politicians and those in positions of authority are corrupt. What is going on here is now a normal every day event and is similar to the daily slaughter of innocent civilians. It clearly displays the trend in the acceptability of lawlessness in this nation. It is pointless really complaining about such developments. No one is going to intervene .Its part and parcel of persona financial greed and milking the Treasury of funds that could be put to better uses combating ,homelessness, rising poverty and the neglect of our ordinary citizens. It just the attitudes and mentality of especially of politicians [..],who after almost five decades of power have allowed the gradual development of this scenario. They just can't help turning this nation into another worthless shanty town enclave with homeless people, high class con men and abundance of hardened serious criminals, and a corrupt police system.
