President Trump expected to lift ban on selling military gear to local police forces. The Trump administration is preparing to lift a controversial ban on the transfer of some surplus military equipment to police forces that was enacted following the battlefield-style response to rioting in Ferguson, Mo., three years ago. The new policy is outlined in draft documents obtained by USA TODAY.
With some of the attacks that people are putting on some of the bigger city police forces I can see them using military grade equipment. Some times they are the front line of defense here in the States. Giving them equipment they can use to help protect themselves better.
