It definitely looks like it has potential and really like the idea of casting Franco in the lead role, but I'm not sure if I will spend the money to see this in the theater. Most likely I'll rent it.

I thought the opposite. Maybe I am biased but taking monkeys or excuse me, apes... And turning them into smarter than human take over the earth type of scenario doesn't make want to pay $10-$12 for a ticket to eat popcorn watching it.

I was a bit apprehensive about going to see another ape movie but this one was done so well that I can't say I wasn't entertained. Computer animation has come such a long way as well but I could still tell where there were real chimps and computer stuff. I wonder if there will be a part two to this.
