Amazing those are the channels I have deleted from my channel list. Totally perverted news,
spin city, Go to "fair" and look at their ratings.
No wonder you have blinders on. Go to Aljazeera, BBC, or ? and get your mind enlightened and get your head out of the sand, or whatever dark place it is in.

I never agree with anyone on all issues. Just ask the wife.  It really irritates me when people say you are with me  or against us because I disagree on one point.
But Bush seems to want total control on his half thought out actions or worse he is defending his hair brained ideas or whoever pulls his strings.
What action against another country or even the Iraqs including the Kurds, Shiites(sp) etc. has Sadam inniated in the last 8 years unless he was attacked.
The main point is are the Iraqis better off with the occupation?  I think the honeymoon is over.

I agree especially when they use religion mixed with their own political view to justify why you should change your concept.

[offtopic]Bill could you use one message for your post rather than 3? That is called mutli-posting and is against the rules. Thanks.[/offtopic]

Hey Bill, I agree with some of your thoughts. Also, I'm really looking into get in a good discussion about this war without getting personal or calling names, that makes me feel very uncomfortable  that's why I didn't reply to certain threads that I see are insulting, judging me and sterotyping me in a certain way. sad.gif
Going back to the subject, I watch all channels, CNN, BBC, etc...I don't banned any of them because I will not be able to make an analysis if I choose only the channels that I think are 'appropiate' or 'good' in the subject.  As a journalist, I need to see ALL sources from BOTH sides and I accomplish that listening to both sides of the bell. Particularly with this war, we need to do that to not be misleaded. I'm not an Anti Bush and I'm not an anti of anything. I just don't agree with ANY war, it brings so much pain to the people, so many deaths. Look at my signature of what Ghandi said "What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?" (Ghandi)
Now that the war is over I would like to see what the USA and british troops are doing to help the iraqis to get back on their feet, supplying ENOUGH medication, food, water and electricity...that is all that matters to me now. Whether Bush was looking for the oil of Iraq or not doesn't help the people and children in Iraq. Personally (even though some people didn't get it :smile.gif ) Bush idea of going to war against Iraq was not only for oil purposes (not the main one in my opinion). But like I said before, what it really matters now are the victims, the people who live in Iraq now without basic things to survive sad.gif. What are they doing now to make it easier for this people? because when a war is planned, the post war must be properly planned also...now, why they're taking so long to restablish the normal conditions for this people? was not properly plan or was not a priority in their agendas?

I ll bet the old people and orphans including the 10,000 or so that we created recently were happy to stand in 120 degrees temperature all day to collect the first payment of $20.00 in two months. I'll bet they would be happier if there were a HAMAS.
What are we doing? Where is the money?

Bill, you highlight what most people overlook in something like this, especially people who lack empathy, they only see what their country doing as right. They are quick to defend a person who sits in comfort surrounded by wealth and protection, but not the child that is hungry in the streets. It amazes me sometimes how gullible people can be about politicians and what they say.

I agree, there is always another side of the story that Bush and his staff and the Bush lackies always try to bury. It is astounding how blind people are, or worse uncaring.

Now we are back to something that the Bush administration used as a reason for the war... 'The Iraqi people want to be liberated'. Is that really true? I am sure most of them were happier with life before the war. Even the US is beginning to see more of their soldiers die after the major fighting than during.

From ABC News Nightline:

TONIGHT'S FOCUS: It's becoming a daily event... American soldiers in Iraq are being shot at, or ambushed, and the reports of new casualties are becoming a steady drumbeat. This after the president declared that major combat operations are over. But as many people predicted before the war, the peace may be the most dangerous time of all.

The military now believes that more forces will be required than originally expected. The security situation does not seem to be stabilizing, at least in certain places. Instead, the number of shooting incidents seems to be on the rise. I can only imagine how nerve-wracking it must be now for these soldiers on patrol, or manning a checkpoint. An attack could come from any direction, at any time. And the war was supposed to be over.

The big question here... why did the US rush so much and not have a way to feed the people?

Jobless Iraqi soldiers issue threats
The tension resulting from the US de-Baathification policy examplifies
the growing gap between Iraqis' expectations and occupiers' intentions.
