sadam is a tyrant who persecuted his subjects. Terrorism is the cheesiest form of fighting, and has random success. At least the way sadam terrorized. Their country will be much better off without him.

Venomx187, I think we all agree that Iraq will be bettter off without Saddam, the point is why the US tried to remove him from power now? I mean the US administration have supported evil people in many ways and in many countries and supported dictators like Pinochet in Chile and several others in Argentina, and other countries, they supported them politically and financially. So why do I have to believe now that the whole war against terrorism is about that alone?

Marines reverse death disclosure rule:

U.S. military says "evidence" gained by torture acceptable:

Statements produced under torture have been inadmissible in U.S. courts for about 70 years. But the U.S. military panels reviewing the detention of 550 foreigners as "enemy combatants" at the U.S. naval base in Cuba are allowed to use such evidence

"An American-led overthrow of Saddam Hussein - and the replacement of the radical Baathist dictatorship with a new government more closely aligned with the United States would put America more wholly in charge of the region than any power since the Ottomans, or maybe even the Romans."
-- David Frum, speachwriter for USA president, George W Bush

"The US and other Western governments turned a blind eye to Amnesty International reports of widespread human rights violations in Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war, and ignored Amnesty International's campaign on behalf of the thousands of unarmed Kurdish civilians killed in the 1988 attacks on Halabja. Once again, the human rights record of a country is used selectively to legitimize military actions."

Iraq War Post

I'm sorry but there was no ligitimate raison for the invasion of Iraq. If there was, what is it ??

Oil anf a stronght military presence in the area, were the true raisons. As for Saddam he was under controle, ex no fly zone, inspectors, constant
surveillance by the US .

You surly can't consider the use of force by the amricans to impose their style of democracy a valid reason to invade a country. In the process over 100,000 innocent people were killed by the US in Iraq, and the killing continues, Did Saddam kill has many? I wonder

If you talk about it you will sent to nice trip to Cuba., it's called American justice

A heading from CNN which tells a lot about how wrong Bush was to imaged how the US invasion would be perceived and reality. This may open the eyes of the hang high naive right wing americans (those that voted for Bush)

QUOTE
NEW YORK (Reuters) -- The situation in Iraq is unlikely to improve anytime soon, according to a classified cable and briefings from the Central Intelligence Agency, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

The assessments are more pessimistic than the Bush administration's portrayal of the situation to the public, government officials told the newspaper.

The Bush Administation is still lying to the American people.

I belive that people in USA have different perspective upon those things then anywhere else in the world and that because the media there treats subject differently... There is no other explanation for the kind of support this war has there.
