U.S. uses the magic mantra "Zarqawi" to justify failures

For many Iraqis the name "Saddam Hussein" has been replaced by "Zarqawi". The only difference is that while they could easily verify the footage, the speeches and sound bites of the former, many of them believe the latter is the product of the U.S. propaganda machine.

"...And while everybody was tremendously impressed with the low cost of the conflict, for the 146 Americans who were killed in action and for their families, it wasn't a cheap war. And the question in my mind is how many additional American casualties is Saddam worth? And the answer is not very damned many."

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on with regards to the war in Iraq many are wondering now - how long is it going to last? Here is one estimated time line:

2 MORE YEARS IN IRAQ, SAYS MCCAIN

WASHINGTON -- A leading Republican senator said Sunday it probably would take "at least a couple more years" before enough Iraqis are capable of securing their country, a prime condition set by the Bush administration for beginning to withdraw U.S. troops.

Since the beginning of time the Middle East has not known a Democracy. If you study Islam the religion of the area, Islam is not Democratic. Realizing that life in the Middle East is a life of Islam mostly, and that people wake up, work, retire, and die their Religion, one can safely conclude that Democracy will never have a chance in the MIDDLE EAST, because Democracy is an invention of the INFIDELS.

It amazes me how people in the WEST think they can impose their belief on foreign culture, religion, and way of life.

If you think a few years of war in IRAQ can re-invent the entire culture and mindset of the MIDDLE EAST and that area, then I suggest you and your kind will be able to settle there sometime in the near future, and survive the experience.
