What Ever Happened To Super Blue

What ever happened to Super Blue ? Did he retire or did he just slow down. The last tune I heard from him was Pump Up back in 2000. I heard the tune Display by his daughter. Did he now pass the torch on to his daughter ?

Blessings! He is not in the main stream anymore, but he does make an appearance now and again to sing some of his older stuff. He is the king of 'wave yuh flag' or 'rag' or whatever and a whole bunch of new 'kids' on D block take over that trend, so maybe his giving them a chance.

Thanks for sharing that with me Rasta. I happen to be a big fan of Super Blue. I seen a performance on tape back in the day. He really had the crowd hype. I don't know what year it was , but his dentures fell out his mouth while performing. That man picked up his dentures and continued to jump up and wave without skipping a beat. His shows are full of energy.

I came to this site also to read up on Super Blue. At one time I lived in Brooklyn, and my (EX) is from Trinidad so I was introduced to Soca Music.

A good friend of mine just recently returned from Trinidad. And he said that he saw Super Blue washing car windows in traffic congested streets. Does anyone have any knowledge of this and does he have a drug problem ?

I have personally never heard that before (that he had reached the stage of washing car windows), but then again I do not keep up with the Soca scene. Should I come across such info I will update here, but it would not surprise me if there is a connected drug addiction as so many seem to be using drugs these days.
