If you visit the home page of lds.org, you will find a featured link to the new Church Music site. The searchable, interactive site provides a wide variety of resources to help Church members and friends learn, listen to, read, play, sing, and conduct Church music. Users will find the site helpful for both teaching in the home and fulfilling callings in the Church.

I went to this site, but it wasn't much help to me. I wanted to be able to find the words to the children's hymns. I saw how I could download the music, but what I need is the words. I have the music on a CD that was given to my grandson in primary so he can learn the songs for primary. We listen to this CD whenever we are in my truck together. However, some of the words are unclear as they are being sung and I want to be able to help him know what the correct words are so he can sing them.

I went also, and determined to find what you needed, tena But you're right, they don't have the lyrics printed, just the music to play. Isn't that interesting? There is, however, a "Feedback" option on the menu bar that you might send a suggestion to them about it. I will also.

Otherwise, it is WONDERFUL to have the hymns and children's songs available to me at the click of a mouse!! I'm thrilled, as I don't have many CD's or tapes of church music, and I don't play any instrument. It makes me want to cry to have this available.

Update: I just loaded a song to play, and the lyrics *are* displayed when the song plays. You can even print them. Cool.

I didn't know this music was available, if I knew about it I would have not order the Primary CD's for Felipe and the Songbook, anyhow, it is always handy to have them, Felipe loves his primary songs and I even got the Spanish version too.

The Music and Cultural Arts Division of the Priesthood Department has updated the Other Music section of LDS.org to include MP3s and sheet music from the Church Educational System video series, which includes the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Old Testament, and New Testament sound tracks. The site also contains links to all the Church magazine music, which is indexed alphabetically, by topic, and by author and composer.

This is a wonderful tool to use, as mentioned, in many church callings. I've used it a few times for Young Womens camp songs, special musical numbers, and lessons.
