OOC: Oh well. It seems that the effect of the blue smoke has been disrupted. At least, the GM said that the circus was in a state of uproar. I assume that this means Eissa snapped out of her drowsy state? On the bright side, Ariadne and Ice managed to get out of the tent.
IC: Eissa jerked to attention. For some reason, the people in the circus appeared to be shouting. There appeared to be a slight disturbance a few rows below her. What had happened? She glanced around, startled, the blue smoke having lost its effect upon her. Surely she hadn't done anything wrong, had she? Out of instinct, she started blushing before realising that it wasn't her who had caused this. Wondering what to do, she turned to Althea. "Just what happened?" she asked.
OOC: For those of us still inside the tent- it is unwise to assume that the smoke is no longer effective! Please continue to keep your airways covered just in case. It looks like everyone who makes it out of this mess will have to wait until we're all outside the circus grounds to safely meet up again. Since Ice and Ariadne are outside the tent, they should try to subtly motion to party members to leave the grounds as we exit the tent. Thoughts?
IC: Airmed, still covering her nose and mouth, turns around to investigate the uproar. Thorian! It figures... She was afraid this lad would make such a gross error. He needed a diversion, and he needed it quickly. Airmed remains seated, takes a deep breath from behind her folded cloak, lowers it momentarily, and issues a mighty, blood-curdling scream! She is quick to replace the cloak across her face, hoping both to not be readily recognized as the screamer, and to hopefully afford Thorian a window of opportunity for escape. Any other contact with her party will have to wait until after safely outside the circus grounds. She watches the scene with Thorian, praying to the Gods and Goddesses for mercy. *Thorian turns his pockets inside out, in an attempt to make it appear that he too had been robbed*
My gold is gone too! What's going on here!? What sort of witchcraft is this?
*Thorian points and yells toward the stage*
What sort of trickery is going on? First that smoke makes me feel all light headed, next my gold is gone!
I think that is one way to go. Or, Thorian could just run up on stage ignore the calls of thief and be the volunteer. You know they want to mesmerize everyone so they might just ignore the person complaining about having gold stolen. Of course, if Thorian persists with his proposed course of action, we might be able to force their hands and have them either give up their plan or fight us or just escort Thorian out and continue his course of action.
I think Ice and Ariadne need to stay nearby in case we are needed, but Ariadne should continue to act as though she isn't feeling well.
Whoa! Total chaos! Bedlam! Rioting!
Thorian, you have unleashed an avalanche...! The spell is broken, the effects of the drug interrupted. And all in the tent have their pockets emptied.
Hey, Ice and Ariadne -- good thing you got outside. Have you checked your pockets?
Ice and Ariadne have the advantage of seeing where the Magician and his accomplice are going -- to the horses! Will you stop them? Chase them? Where is Wimplo's horse -- back at camp or at his home?
What can Airmed, Althea, Eissa, Thorian, and Shade do inside the tent -- organize the mob into a posse?
Suggestions would be welcome.
I think Ice and Ariadne need to follow the men on horseback. It appears they are heading for the horses. I think if we get outside of the circus area so there buddies aren't around to protect them, we can try shooting at them to stop them, if necessary. Since people appear to have already been robbed, and these guys are trying to get to the horses, I think it is logical that they have the gold on them.
I don't know what to do inside. Probably get everyone to join in and go after the circus workers. If everyone in the tent takes on the workers they should be significantly outnumbered. Strength in numbers.
Ice will check her pockets as she is running towards the fleeing magician.
Tena, I cannot remember where is Wimplo horse...do you?. If we cannot find the horse then we have to take one where the magician and his friend are going. We have to move quickly but taking advantage of the chaos going on now, we are outside already. We should follow them and wait for them to get into the horse and then get a horse for us and follow them, and shoot them with our arrows if necessary. Any other suggestions?
OOC: Since Thorian and Airmed are perhaps closest to the stage, they should try to rally the angered audience in the front rows and enlist them to engage circus workers by the stage. If that works, Thorian and Airmed should try to follow the performers' exit route behind the stage and give chase. Thorian has a dagger. This may come in handy very soon. I will wait to hear more thoughts/suggestions before posting IC.
