There are so many arguments about who invented the time freezing in the Matrix movies. Some say there were small time films that used this and it was only made popular by the first Matrix movie. What do you Matrix gurus think?

I don't know the history behind it but I do know that it revolutionized the way many action movies were shown after. Nearly every action film coming out of Hollywood was showing the time freeze rain drop technique after the Matrix.

Time freezing is part of what made the Matrix trilogy so great. The first movie with Neo dodging the bullets on the roof top played over and over before the academy awards because it was like totally revolutionary.
