Tony Stewart to race as scheduled after striking and killing driver Saturday night
The decision comes just hours after Stewart struck and killed an on-foot driver at Canandaigua (N.Y.) Motorsports Park, where both were competing in a sprint car race. Ref. USAToday
How terrible for the driver that was killed and his family and friends that might have been there to see it happen in front of them. How bad it is that after you kill a man you just continue driving as normal. The least you can do is withdraw from the race as a sign of respect to the driver and his family.
Tony Stewart will not face criminal charges in death of Kevin Ward Jr.
Grand jury makes decision after being presented evidence from the Aug. 9 incident when Ward exited his car during a sprint car race and was struck by Stewart's car. Ref. USAToday
