Comments: York regions striking transit workers should be ashamed of themselves. I know many people either out of work or who are working jobs that they are extremely over qualified for. Due to Canada's increase in unemployment and poor economic state, Many people would be more than happy to take a transit job for less than what transit workers are currently earning. The argument that York region workers are being treated unfair because they are making slightly less than Toronto workers is not acceptable. Toronto transit workers deserve a higher pay. TTC deals with a higher volume of riders as well as more incidents. If you've ever been on the TTC and some of York regions buses you'll notice the difference. Commuters and students have to suffer because of the greed of many York region transit workers. Wake up and get back to work! Your lucky you even have a job!
