What do you think about the case of the serial killer Donald Miller (Don Miller)? Could he be both 'the guy next door' and an undetectable serial killer?

The below image is what he looks like now and the small box is what he looked like when he was first arrested. Many argue whether he is just an actor or mentally insane. There is also a debate about how such a person wasn't detected, but there were signs! When he was younger he had an incestuous relationship with his sister. On one of his dates he claimed to drop off the girl at 2:00am at the door step to her home (a lie). When the girl did not turn up the mother asked him about it and he was unconcerned.

What shocks me is the reaction of the parents. I do not believe for a second the father did not know about the incestuous relationship. I am sure they both knew, punished him and brushed it off completely. It also surprises me how they STILL supporting their son to be released out of jail KNOWING their son is a serial killer with almost no possibilities of recuperating. I understand they still love him because he is their son, having said that they would at least hope the guy is kept behind bars or in a institution so he cannot hurt any more people, wishing he could be released is insane.

Comments: He did wrong, but he has done and doing his time people change, why should what he did when he was a younger dictate how he could function in society? I mean if one was a drug addict or alcoholic does that mean that they cannot turn straight and give that stuff up and live perfectly normal lives.

Jodie, we are speaking about a serial killer who has deep, deep psychological issues. It is not a matter whether Donald "wants" to change or not but whether he will be "able" to do so. The guy is mentally disturbed.

I do not think he should be released back into society until he has been given a clean bill of health from a doctor of metal health. This will help assure people that he may actually not kill again.

Comments: The reason I know that he can be rehabilitated like a drug addict or an alcoholic is be because I was both for a long time and have been rehabilitated for a long long time, and we share the same blood line he is my second cousin.

Jodie, it is great to hear about your rehabilitation. Having said that, I think comparing an addiction like alcohol or drugs to a serious mental issue (killing several people and not being aware of it) like your cousin has is a completely different matter.
