It seems like today people are wanting more and more horsepower. Just how much horsepower do you need ? I have a 2004 Acura TSX , which comes with 200hp.(4cyl / V-TEC) For my needs , it's more than enough. Just wish it had a little more torque. But I like the extra power for passing and climbing hills. For others 200hp just doesn't cut it. Most of my friend's are looking for something in the 220hp - 300hp. Just the other day a friend showed me a article about the Cadillac Sixteen. This car has 1,000 hp. What could you possibly do with all that horsepower. Not to mention it's a $300,000 car.
Some people just like to know that at any moment they press the 'x' they have an immense disposal of power at their hands. To me these people need to go and drive a tractor or run a mile to get their adrenalin down. Horsepower is important, but I think it is relative to the environment you live in. For instance you would not need a lot of horsepower if you were living in the flat lands, but yes if there are many hills or even mountains.
