Comments: is it possible to miss a couple of monthly mortgage payments without penalty if your spouse was in a serious accident and you are waiting on a claim? Will the bank be so kind?

What they might do is suspend it if they are really nice but I doubt. They might just tell you to try and get the payments up to date when your claim comes through.
