Are their family traditions among your family or relatives that you dislike? What are they and do you make any attempt to get them 'abolished'?
Yes there is one that I dislike... my family loves junk food with a passion and I much prefer a home cook meal, but each week and sometimes twice a week they nag me to death to buy some kind of 'junk'. Yes, I eat it too, but it is not something I crave at all and most times what I like to eat does not appeal to Felipe or LDS.
Television! It is the most annoying thing happening in my house right now. I have daydreams about pulling the plug all the time -- especially when there are four TVs all going at once, on different channels... argh!
The tradition that has developed in my family..is eating and spending time in our bedroom.
We all spend way too much time in our bedrooms. we do everything there and we find ourselves very separated.
Things have gotten so bad, that my parents installed an intercom system in each bedroom, kitchen etc. so that we can use that to communicate.
There was a time my father used to wake me up with a kiss..but now all he does is buzz me on my intercom!
We are still a close family..but I think we can do better
I try to encourage everyone to at least have dinner together, but with daddy watching news and mummy reading...my sister studying..no one has found the time!

My family is full of awful tradition. Every male for the past 100 years in my father's family was born on December 18th for no reason in particular. (If you were not born here, then your birthdate is be change) So every daughter of this family must marry a man born on December 18th! How I hate this tradition.
Do you know how difficulty I have finding man born on December 18th? ^^;;
Other tradition include Chinese food I have to eat on New Year because it rhymes with wishes for other people.
For example: Nian nian you yu - I wish you have pocket money all year. Yu also mean ''fish'', so I always have to eat this awful fish for good measure.
