Hotel bill mistakes mean many pay too much
Business travelers may be overpaying for their hotel rooms by a half-billion dollars a year, the result of mistakes in billing. It is for this very reason that I scan and rescan my hotel bill anytime I check out. I can't say how many errors I have caught on hotel bills, and how many coupons and discounts I have received from catching these errors. I urge anyone who stays at a hotel to do the same, because the likelihood that an error in billing is made is very high.
