Did you see that old guy (age 62) auditioning for American Idol with his original "Pants On The Ground"? That was hilarious and everyone was singing it after - it is catchy and I bet it goes somewhere after this!

Well, the problems started already for the General. It has been recorded in a studio and released without his permission. His former manager did it ad apparently he does not need his permission because it is supposed to be only "promotional".

That is brutally unfair for the General and his Pants on the Ground. I mean how can his former manager abuse the system and pull the man's Pants on the Ground when everyone could clearly see that is his song. General, you better pull up his pants in court, or pull his Pants on the Ground for that matter!

All of that? Why do I smell something here with Simon Cowell saying "This could be a hit" and yet the guy was too old to qualify yet he was allowed to perform Pants on the Ground.

There is a Michigan group called The Green Brothers that claim they got the idea first when they recorded in 1996 their song "Back Pockets on the Floor". The song according to them has the same intent, idea and message of General Larry Platt's 'Pants' version. Interesting enough, in the music video of The Green Brothers, the singer is an old man just like General Platt.

They make it clear they do not intent to sue, they just want people to know they got the idea first.

Wow, so many with their Pants on the Ground, well in this case they have their Back Pockets on the Floor, but how is that possible if it is not Pants on the Ground. This is all getting very complicated between the General, Pants of the Ground, Pockets on the Floor, and so on.
