Avoiding Burnout

I dont have any of the signs but I think my wife does. She absolutely hates her job and feels very underappreciated and overused. Subsequently, she has become very irritable, shows signs of fatigue and lately has been very overreactive to minor issues. Luckily she works part-time and uses her days off to recover, so it has almost become a cycle, which can be very frustrating. Needless to say we are looking for a new job for her, or possibly considering her staying at home with the kids.
If you calculate the cost of her working, you'd probably be better off with her at home. But that's another topic
Your wife definitely needs to get out of that job, if working there makes her so upset.

What makes it worse is that she sees how much I like my job and that makes her feel like something is wrong with herself. I try to tell her that not everyone likes their job, in fact most people dont.
Well I'm definetly experiencing syptoms #1. chronic fatigue , exhaustion , tiredness , a sense of being physically run down. Thanks to being in Iraq we work 7 days a week. If I get 4 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period , that is a blessing. When I go home on R&R leave. I just want to sleep all day and night. Man I'm getting excited about sleeping on a bed for a change. It sure beats sleeping on the hood of your truck.
