Are You Stuck Up?

Have you ever been referred to as being 'Stuck Up'? What does it mean to be Stuck Up in your opinion?

Up Stuck Are

I have only ever been referred to as 'stuck up' once, ironically by my now mother and Father in law, the day they met me.
They pre-judged me, on where I lived, as I was brought up in an affluent area, living in a 6 bedroomed house. they decided that I must be 'stuck up', before they even got to know me.

to be classed as 'stuck up' in my opinion, means that you personally think that you are far better than everyone else, And don't want to lower your standards by mingling with people who aren't seen to be as wealthy as you may think that you are!

obviously everyone needs some amount of money to live on whether it be just to 'scrape' through, or whether it be to live a wealthy life style, but to me, I couldn't care less how rich or poor someone is, it's what's inside that counts, and for all the millions you may have or may not have, you can't take it with you when you depart from this world!

When I was younger people often thought I was stuck up because I was very shy. They would see that I didn't have much to say or wouldn't meet someone's eyes and they would assume it was because I was stuck up. Thank goodness I have learned to compensate for my natural shyness with determination to be friendly to everybody. Because of my experience, I'm very careful not to judge someone stuck-up just because they may act it a little. I think that those who act stuck-up are actually insecure. Someone who is truly stuck-up is someone who thinks they are a better person. It could have to do with money, looks, brains, or just about anything. Maybe every person has a little bit of stuck-up in them.

Up Stuck Are

I have to admit that yes I can be stuck up sometimes, but it has nothing to do with people's looks, money or anything like that. I give everyone a chance, but if I find I don't like their personality, I ignore or talk to them a little as possible in order to avoid confrontation. These are the people that call me stuck up. Thankfully, there are very few people I've felt this way about.

I am shy too, but I try to at least give people a smile so they won't think I'm snooty. It seems to work.

Comments: I am exactly like Valla up there I am shy and I do not like meeting pals eyes even my own mom and brother say I'm stuck-up but they don't see me at school I'm very friendly to all and if I don't talk to some one its cause I'm to shy to approach them boy or girl doesn't matter I think it stems from my insecurity about me which is why I find it hard to approach some pals even look up at them.

Not me I will talk to any one at anytime. I might be dressed to the nines and the other covered in manure no matter to me. Next time it will likely be the other way around.

I do have line that I do not cross such as eating in a place with more then 30 cats that never get cleaned but I will say hi, just might not go in for my healths sake.

The ones I do not care for I am curtius to. I just do not stay for long conversations. My Grandmother always said be polite good manners are the only thing that are free to give and receive. I do miss her.

Are Stuck Up

To me, stuck up means you are arrogant and act like you are better than everybody else. To even speak with the "lesser beings" is beneath you.
I can honestly say I have never felt this way about another human being. However, there have been times I have been accused of it. For a variety of reasons. I can be shy or pre-occupied and come across that way. I also am tall and confident for the most part. Some can find me intimidating if they do not know me well. A woman with confidence is often misjudged as "stuck up" or worse. I work in a field where I associate with millionaires and homeless derelicts. The only real difference is circumstantial. One is not "better" than the other as a human being.

Are Stuck Up Psychology Special & Health

Well no I have never been called 'stuck up' but that is because I do not talk to the lesser beings They are beneath me.

As you can see I am nowhere close to being stuck up. I like to talk to anyone and have a good time with anyone who enjoys a good conversation. I will even talk to the shy girls to see if they come out of their shells a little.
