Sometimes it is necessary to get in a quick nap during the day. You do not necessarily retire to a bed, so where do you go to get a quick five? For me, my desk is prime - I just lay my head on it and I am off or I will lean back in my chair and snooze.

I use the opportunity every time my husband is driving me anywhere, I know it doesn't make me good company, but at least I manage to catch up on valuable lost sleep! (I naturally fall asleep anyway when travelling) which in the past has caused mayhem when I've missed bus stops and been woken up by the bus driver when the bus has arrived at the depot, and I've had another hours travel to reach home

If I'm not going out anywhere, I'll quite often curl up on the settee for an hour.

I often take five if I am not the driver when traveling but besides that I am most apt to lie down out side under a nice shade tree. Even in the winter the sun shining I can be find suddenly taking five in a nice comfy snow chair. Now where more peaceful then out doors. Some how the noise of the world quietens when your closer to the ground.

I enjoy falling asleep on the beach, under the scorching sun! I usually place my mat on a dry area on the beach and stretch out just like a beached whale! Once, I fell asleep for one hour on the beach and my skin felt like it was on fire because of the sun burn! My second favourite place to nap would be in my bed, where it is nice and cosy!

This is a rare occurence, but when it does happen it ends up bing on my bed as I am not comfortable anywhere else.

I've never been able to just "snooze" for five minutes - if I do manage to sleep just a few minutes, I wake up disoriented and crabby. It's not the least bit refreshing. When I sleep, I sleep like a rock. Whenever I try to take a nap, it usually lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. That's not exactly a nap!

Diane, I can't imagine falling asleep on a public bus! That's actually kind of frightening, girl.

At my college there was this little spot which was laid out like a small Greek Theatre. It was a great place to nap between classes.
