[news] A Very Strange Story
While this isn't, strictly, news about the Church, it certainly involves the Church in some ways.
If nothing else, it shows how strange things are going to get in the days to come.

It seems this guy was planning on kidnapping and murdering the Prophet and all the Apostles, to extort the church into proclaiming him the Prophet.

I didn't have to subscribe, but then I may have done so previously. I don't think I had.
Google Taylor Helzer in the news section, and read some of the articles.
Here is one of the VERY strange parts of this story:

What does it take to convince some people?I once asked one of the body guards to the First Presidency about why anyone would want to kill the prophet and their reply was something based on the Book of Mormon where it says that once they accept the Gospel and then leave it their heart becomes darker than before... (have not looked up the actual verse).
