Asthelion tells Avan he'll take first watch and offers his bedroll to his companion. The rogue tells Avan that he'll wake him up halfway through the night. He then climbs the wooden construct once more so he can get a good view of his surroundings and sits, watching over Avan and the pirate with his bow and an arrow on his lap. There he sits, a silent guardian, the angel of death incarnate, ready to shoot anything that moves in the shadows.

Avan thanks Asthelion, but gets down to the business of splitting the loot. He suggests waiting for interrogation before splitting the second pirate's belongings. He then falls into an uneasy sleep.

Out of Character: would I need some sort of appraise check to find the value of the items, or would my character know?

Appraise(+3): 5, 14, 21, 11 (DC 12 check in the rules)

"This figurine and short sword are completely worthless, but the handaxe is worth 6 gold and the 3 daggers go for 6 together. That makes 11 gold and 5 silver each, do you want more coins or more weapons. I'd prefer the weapons, since you have to be moving quickly in combat."

Out of Character: I'm assuming this is all going down before Asthelion takes watch and Avan falls asleep.

Asthelion opts to take the coins. He explains that as far as weapons go, he's good.

Arthas couldn't sleep though he were lying on his bed. He was wonder what were his friends doing. Feeling bored, the Paladin then walked to the upper deck again still wearing his equipment.

In there, he was looking at the stars. He imagined about his glorious past. For a moment, he felt like brought back into the past when everything was fine. The kingdom had not fallen and he still an honored paladin. He realized that it was just a sweet memory.

Then he looked at the sea. The sea was quite different. The waves were more calm. Without any hesitation, he jumped into the sea and then swam to the beach.

In no time, he arrived on the land. He then put off his armor, trying to make it dry.

A silver necklace with 5 blue gems/a large bottle of clear liquid was also in the loot. I just wanted to mention it so it isn't forgotten and lost. Affection's character is now on the beach and your characters would most likely have heard him coming ashore. Please role play on to morning, there are no encounters tonight.

Avan didn't want to take anything from the alive pirate.

He thanks Asthelion for his bedroll and goes to sleep, ignoring the lapping water, even though it feels slightly strange.

Morning is upon you, Jeffrey is awake. He is mumbling something you sort of make out to be him asking for food and water or booze your not sure. You were not attacked during the night but a new face emerges from the shore (Arthas).
