You hear periodic banging of some sort from behind the wooden door, it is random in its rhythm.

There is no sign of life anywhere in the area. Even the birds have abandoned this place.

Content with the safety of the surroundings and starting to get impatient, Avan kicks the door open, loaded bow in hand.

You kick the door off its hinges and enter the room.

A small table beside the outer door holds two oil lamps. On the opposite wall are hooks for cloaks, and boots are lined up underneath them. An empty chair stands in the corner. There is a closed door to your left and a door cracked slightly open to your right.

As the dust settles you spot what is making the banging noise. The door to the right is closing and opening periodically, being manipulated by the air current.

The foul odor has become stronger.

GM Note: It will be redundant to always state that there is a smell of rot so I won't be putting it in every post. The smell is always around, though the intensity may vary.

Avan sighs outward deeply, and breathes back in the foul stench. Coughing and gagging, he steps out the building gasping for breathable air.
"I'll be alright" he says.
Assuming that there's no risk in doing so, Avan is going to have a peek through the right door, which had been banging.

Out of Character: I've updated my character so he should be "level 2-ified" with all its perks.

Asthelion uses the cloth he used at the makeshift lighthouse to tie around his nose and mouth. It doesn't do as well against smell as it did against smoke but it quells the stench a enough that he can bear it. After the rogue is sure that his partner is alright, Asthelion makes comment that if Avan is going to check out the door on the right, he'll check out the door on the left.

Switching his bow and arrow for Roxanne, holding her in a backhand grip, Asthelion drops into a crouch and tries the handle of the door gently.

Avan you carefully peek inside. You see four pits that go through the floor into the ground. A closed door lies across the room from your current location.

Asthelion carefully opens the left door. This room is filled with row upon row of empty shelves. There is a shut door across the room from you.

Avan whispers harshly to Astehlion. "This room looks like ti's trapped, but someone who's been through has set them all off. There's also a door at the end. Considering the draft came from here, we should stick together and go this way."

Regardless of Asthelion's decision, Avan will begin an initial sweep of the room for remaining traps, as well as study the pits more closely(check if they initially had trapdoors and what's on the bottom of the pit).
