Asthelion does a quick double take of the room, calms himself and ponders what to do next...
"Either you're seeing things and are going crazy", the rogue says, "Or you did see something and when stuff happens is usually when you're getting to something good."
Asthelion looks at the door in front of him that he still has yet to open then glances back to where he saw Avan last. He hadn't heard from him since he mentioned traps. Either he fell in one or he's being a good adventurer and not making noise. Still, if Avan was in trouble, Asthelion guessed he was too far away to do much good anyway so, keeping Roxanne and himself in a stance with a new sense of alertness, Asthelion opens the door.
Avan and Asthelion you both open the door and are facing each other from opposite ends of the room. A stone oven dominates one wall of this room. Nearby stands a sink, and cupboards line the walls, their doors hanging open. One corner holds a table and five chairs.
GM Note: You have gone in a circle. The lighthouse has a centered room that you entered. The outer rooms you have been searching are in a circle.
Asthelion glances at his companion for a second and sniffs with the air of one of the snobby and wealthy upper class, "Young man haven't you ever heard of knocking? Why, where I come from we valued this idea of privacy and to see you barging in like this like some... Ruffian. You're an animal."
After his act, the rogue begins to search around the room for any signs of... Anything. Anything that might give him some bit of a clue as to what happened here whether by Jeffrey's account or simply abandonment.

"Why I do say, sir, that this lowly behavior is unbecoming of a lord! I demand a duel for honor!" Avan replies assuming a similar pose. A smile cracks across his face and he chuckles.
"Back to the task at hand, it looks more like a hasty exit than a break in. We should head upstairs."
Avan then climbs the staircase in the first room, closing the front door as he passes.
You climb the stairs and find yourself entering another room. Tool racks are mounted on the walls of this room, and large tables occupy the center. There are two closed wooden doors, one to your left and one to your right.
