As the two adventurers converse the pirates are still at work. Several more minutes have gone by. The first pirate has returned and is loading wood onto the towers pyre.

Out of Character: Sorry folks alright lets see here, mmhmm... Mhm mhm... Oooohh good point... Mmhmm...
In Character: Asthelion concedes the point and agrees with Avan, "Very well but don't kill them. We need some information first. And don't draw blood on their clothes."
Out of Character: I did the first round of combat, then I realised our characters can't even see the second pirate. I kept the rolls in a text document, but I don't know whether the hide and move silently check should carry through. In any case they were Hide(+7): 20 Move silently(+8): 10. Oliron, you can use these rolls or the Extra D20 rolls below, whatever seems fair.
Avan moves with a purpose to the point he heard the second pirate's voice, looking for its source:
Spot(+1): 8
Extra D20 (+0): 6, 7, 4.
Asthelion watches as Avan heads towards one of the pirates. He then finds his own way towards the first pirate by the artificial lighthouse.
Move Silently (+7)
Result: 23
Out of Character: Should the movement be successful, because Oliron wants some action, Asthelion will attempt to deal a knock-out blow to the head using an unarmed strike. Naturally it will be a sneak attack so the pirate doesn't hear him grunt or anything and turn and shout right before he gets beaned. Talk about luck.
(Nonlethal damage unarmed strike
1d3 but because of Sneak Attack it's now 1d6
Melee (+3)
Result: 17)
That's all if it's the silent moving is successful, if not, Asthelion will draw a sword and fight.

DM note: Both of you are in different areas and do not know each others results.
Avan moves up threw the undergrowth towards were he believes the second pirate to be chopping wood. You can hear him chopping wood but are unable to spot his exact location. Just as you are nearing what you think to be 10 - 20 feet away you step on a loose branch cracking it loudly in half.
The chopping stops for a moment and you hear the pirate call out, "Jeffrey zat' you?"
---
Asthelion stealthily moves towards the first pirate who is once again snapping branches. Between the silence of the sand and the loud snap of the branches Asthelion easily moves up on his prey. A quick and sure thud to the back of the mans skull brings him down quick, the first pirate is unconscious.
"No it's not, we have you marked. Drop what you're holding and step towards my voice."
Bluff/Diplomacy/Intimidate(+2) = 21
They're all the same, using the Cha stat. Using whatever is most appropriate to the situation.
If successful, Avan backs away, hiding in the darkness, as the man comes closer, trying to draw him towards the pyre. "Keep walking towards the voice."
IF the man does ANYTHING unexpected, Avan draws and fires an arrow towards the direction where he thinks he is(taking whatever modifiers).
Initiative(+3) = 9
Ranged attack(+4) = 15
Damage(0) = 1
Out of Character:: not sure if I'm doing the damage for a longbow right. I have the martial weapon proficiency, but no strength bonus or strength penalty.
Asthelion hears the chopping from the woods cease and only hopes for the best. He then looks at the unconscious man before him and curses his lack of preparation for not bringing any rope. He quickly strips the man of anything that could be used for a weapon and takes out his dagger. He reaches for the man's leg and cuts a length of cloth off his pants. The rogue then uses this to bind the man's hands behind his back and uses the cloth that he gathered the nails in before to tie around the man's mouth. He then props him up against the lighthouse construct.
"Not terribly professional", Asthelion mutters to himself as he steps back from his work.
Out of Character: Hey guys I'm probably going to be gone until sunday so like I said just have me do something rational if something goes down.
The pirate near Avan says nothing, you can hear a little movement. Not hearing a response Avan and fearing the worse Avan lets an arrow fly. It disappears thew the brush in the pirates direction. You are unsure if you hit your mark.
You are able to now hear what sounds a lot like the pirate running away. He calls out Jeffrey fairly loudly a few times.
