I've never heard of this system but I did look at an online sheet showing various places to hit and armor up a character and I thought that was kind of cool and made sense. In D&D there really isn't a way to measure if you put on platemail on your legs and leather for your upper body.

Comments: The best part of Runequest is not having to guess things you would have to in D&D like where were you hit, do you really have the skill to do that, etc. You blokes should think about making a text version of it, I would join!

Comments: One of the earlier posters said that character creation was complex but that is the joy of it. Part of playing the game is in creating your character that is what makes Rune Quest better than many others. Instead of just crunching the numbers and coming up with a background you can gather a history of your character as you create him / her.
