Basdeo Panday - Page 3

I believe that Basdeo Panday is a very strong and charismatic political leader. He is a very proud person, who makes too many enemies, in a short space of time. His other problems are as follows: he is too self absorbed, thin skinned and he allows himself to be controlled by his emotions. And of course, no one holds a grudge better than the old sly fox. I believe that Panday's pride and obsession to be in control of the UNC, will bring about the demise of this party.

Hell hath no fury like a Panday scorned. Currently, Basdeo Panday is enraged by Anand Ramlogan for accusing UNC for closing down Caroni Whatever you do in this country, no one should ever cross the old sly fox. Here is the link for this report:

This is what happens when you are heavily involved in politics. Expect the unexpected. Apparently, all the attorneys who represented Basdeo Panday are now in another party: COP and therefore, they can no longer represent him. Of course, Panday always has an excuse for everything. He claims that he is representing himself since he has exhausted the generosity of his attorneys. laugh.gif Here is the link for this report:

I cannot imagine why anyone would vote for someone, who has a court case for failing to disclose to the Integrity commission, his monies in a London bank account. Here is the link for this report:

I thought about that and came up with this answer: They would do the same thing.

People usually talk about Basdeo as charismatic, but I do not find he is charismatic at all, at least not for me. He comes across as a crude and hasty person - not marks of charisma in my books.

Sorry to say but this is Custer's last stand. The man on he way out and just waiting for Divali day to say his good-byes. He was once a pride to the people, but now he like a fallen angel.

JB to be very frank, I really do not like Basdeo Panday. As a human being he is cunning and very untrustworthy. However, there is something about him that makes any individual very drawn to him. I am not sure if it is the way he quickly insults those who question his authority, how incensed he becomes over minor issues or his clever way of dodging pointed questions. Whenever he speaks, I usually drop whatever I am doing, listen very attentively to what he has to say and then erupt into raucous laughter. There are times he speaks so eloquently and then there are moments when he sounds like a raving lunatic. He may not be prince charming but he is indeed charismatic.

I think it is because Trinis in general love "bacchanal" and he seems to be the master of that and that's why people (who like him and who don't) stop to listen to what he has to say. It is the drama-king/queen within the population.

Personally, the guy sounds and talks like a lunatic. I cannot stand loud people and he is one of them. I do not find him charismatic at all but vulgar and low-class.

Good grief! LDS I thought about your post when I heard Basdeo Panday on the radio sometime this week. He was criticizing Winston Dookeran and he mentioned that he hoped the "Duck and Run" man had as much cajones as his constituent member of St Joseph! Oh dear! Talk about hitting an all time low! I supposed that is why people always say that politics is a dirty game!

I don't know why Panday don't leave politics already. He is like an old man trying to go around with a young darling, you done past your time.

We are once again forced to see this man for five more years if he does not end up in jail based on his current cases. I think someone said he is 75? If I were 75 and have the money he has I would be off somewhere traveling and watching my grandchildren grow.
