What are your thoughts about the PTA action at the Asja Girls College Tunapuna concerning one of the teachers there?

I think they have every right to stand up for their kids the teacher in question should not be there according to the info produced I think they are also looking for justice for their principal in the sense that if there is an investigation then why didn't the ministry suspend both parties.

No apparently there two years worth of complaints I think she was asked to leave one of the holy faith convent schools too and was then placed in ASJA I don't like to go on hear say but I know for sure that there are reasonable valid grounds for not wanting her there. I think the public especially the Muslims community will see ASJA and a woman in hijab and therefore their feelings would take precedence over the facts.

I'm talking about the comments I'm hearing in the muslim community they just assume that because she has it on that she's not wrong or cannot do anything wrong its so annoying plus many people have issues with asja and its board members what I'm saying is I wish they would put that aside and look at the facts regardless of hijab and the board members religious views.

Coolmama you seem to be in the know about ASJA, are you part of the teaching staff or just a concerned parent? Incidentally there has been a lot of news like this popping up but as TTUTA said you can't block a teacher just because you're angry. It is the Ministry of Education that hires teachers.
