I admit that I haven't paid much attention to what he had been doing. I disagreed with him on embryonic stem cell research, but admired him for his efforts. I agree that he showed tremendous dedication, courage, and spirit. It is sad to see him go.

I didn't even realize she was diagnosed with lung cancer. What is even more tragic is the teenage son that was left behind after the close departures of both his mother and father. I hope he has a strong extended family to help him through this time and give him the direction he will miss from his parents.
