A 58-year-old Port of Spain man is dead and two of his friends injured after they were ambushed by two gunmen while attending a wake near their homes in East Dry River on Thursday night.
The victim has been identified by police as Wayne Welchers, of Callender Street.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port of Spain General Hospital after he was shot multiple times while attending a wake.
Police have identified the injured men as Kenrick Alfred, 68, of Herman-Scott Street, East Dry River; and Haynes Elmon, 71, of Callender Street.
