Squeezing the most from your camera

Digital cameras use a sensor and memory card in place of film. When you take a photo, a digital shutter opens and exposes the camera's sensor to light. The sensor then creates an image of the scene, which is stored on a memory card. Ref. Source 2

I really do not know what we did when there was no digital cameras. I mean I use mine all the time and would be lost without seeing if the image turned out.
