Do you wear a Ski helmet for safety when you go skiing?

The way I like to take chances it is a must! I make my boys wear them as well. After all that snow is hard let alone a tree or rock.

As a teenager I do not ever remember seeing anyone wear a helmet. I never wore any as a medium slope skier. From what I saw recently on the news it seems that it just was not trendy then, but now it is 'in fashion' which is good because now they will be 'in safety' which is more important.

My foot made it a fashion for my boys. I also make them put on their wrist guards especially when snow boarding. Heads and wrists do not heal well once broken.

In my area you have to wear a helmet or they kick you out. Only fair since they are at financial risk if you do not wear it.

Would you wear a helmet while skiing for extra safety and to prevent injury, most won't? Most skiers wear the usual warm wear plus goggles but that doesn't protect you if you get hit by someone or ski into a tree.
