Legislator seeks end to 'birthright citizenship'
Ray's action comes after Gov. Gary Herbert last week also said he is leaning toward favoring a rewrite of the 14th amendment to repeal automatic birthright citizenship. It also comes as conservative Republicans are pushing a tough immigration enforcement law, similar to a controversial one passed in Arizona. Ref. Source 7

I feel that this has been abused for too long and maybe we should get rid of it. TO know that people are crossing our borders ready to deliver a baby just to get it to be a USA citizen is wrong. I say only those children that are born to USA citizens should be a USA citizen.
Trump says he plans to sign an executive order ending ‘birthright citizenship’ for children born in the US to non-citizens. President Donald Trump told Axios that such an executive order was “in the process” and that he had run it by his counsel. “It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment. Guess what? You don’t,” he said. Ref. USAToday.
That's kind of crazy though because you won't have a nationality at birth through no fault of your own. So where will you be a citizen of if you can't be a citizen of the place you were born? Does any other country do this?

I don't see an executive order as being enough to change this law. They will need an amendment to the Constitution and definitely the supreme court will have the final say.

He's wrong, an executive order has no legal ability to override the constitution, specifically the 14th amendment in this case. There's no way in heck he hasn't been told this.
I find it far more likely than anything else that this announcement is just an attempt to keep people riled up for the midterms.
