When you are filthy rich, money just does not mean anything as long as you can get what you want, when you want and where you want.

It seems David and Victoria Beckham know what they want, what they really really want - and they are willing to pay for it, even if it means buying out someone else's wedding. Just before leaving London for L.A., the British babes decided they wanted to party, but their "Posh" place of choice in London had already been booked months ago for a wedding reception. So the Becks decided to spice up the situation. According to an insider, a rep for the pair persistently phoned the pre-wedding couple to bully them out of the booking. "The Beckhams' rep continued to offer extra incentives to persuade them to give up the venue," the source splurged to FOXNews.com. "But the wedding couple really wanted to hold their reception there and weren't prepared to back down." However, the couple caved when the Beckhams offered a brand new Mini Cooper as well as an offer to pay for their entire wedding and mortgage. |
'BENCH IT LIKE BECKHAM'
We knew it when we decided to do this story today. David Beckham has just scored his first goal for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Tonight, ABC correspondent Ryan Owens brings us the story of disappointed fans who wonder what $250 million buys Major League Soccer these days. Up until tonight's game, Beckham played just 37 minutes. No goals. No victories. Tonight, it looks like that may all change.

The mere fact that Beckam is the highest paid footballer on the planet is a raging joke in Europe. He is so past his best and he will do nothing to improve a nonsense team like LA Galaxy. Wow, a washed up English footballer has moved to the crap US league! When genuine world class stars like Pele and Best moved there what happened?
This is an absolute sham and it irritates me that the desperate English press care about Beckham and his handbag wife. I would say that the top teams in the Australian league would beat LA Galaxy with Beckham - that is how poor that league is. I'm not joking, I can't wait until the next world league challenge, if the US teams even get close to qualifying for.
In saying this, I hope he does raise the profile of football over there because I love the sport. But this nonsense about him making football a big sport is quite laughable. He can't even help one of the worst US league teams win because he is an overrated one dimensional player who is riding the US gravy train.
Good on you Beckham for exposing how stupid US football administrators really are for paying you stupid amounts of money to play easy through balls and take free kicks. Sorry US "soccer" fans, but perhaps you should turn to Brasil and Argentina to see real talent and learn a thing or two about real football. Even Mexico is is a class above.
Football is NOT Hollywood, it is so much better. Don't dare try to make football stoop to that level.
BECKHAM'S SEASON IN JEOPARDY
Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham might miss the rest of the Major League Soccer season because of a sprained knee.
